ASIF BRAIN WAVES · INDICATOR GUIDE
ABW T1 FVG marks the first confirmed Fair Value Gap after the direction of detected FVGs changes. It helps students study changes in the gap sequence without drawing every gap.

How to Add the Indicator
- Open the linked TradingView publication and sign in to your TradingView account.
- Read the current description and release notes, then select Use on chart.
- Use standard candlesticks. Open the indicator settings and check the timeframe, visibility and retention controls relevant to this tool.

The three-candle gap rule
A bullish FVG exists when candle 3’s low is strictly above candle 1’s high. A bearish FVG exists when candle 3’s high is strictly below candle 1’s low. The zone occupies the price interval between those wick prices. Detection uses the current chart symbol and timeframe.
Which gap becomes T1?
After a bearish FVG, the first bullish FVG is bullish T1. After a bullish FVG, the first bearish FVG is bearish T1. More gaps in the same direction are not T1 until the direction changes again. Bars with no gap do not reset the remembered direction. The first gap in loaded history initializes the sequence without a T1 label.
Work through this sequence
Read: bearish gap → bearish gap → bullish gap (T1) → bullish gap (not T1) → bearish gap (T1). The classification follows FVG direction. It does not require a swing break, BOS, MSS or a breach of the previous FVG boundary.
When the drawing becomes available
Detection occurs only at candle 3’s close. The box starts at candle 1, two bars before confirmation, to show the gap origin. This backward placement is not earlier availability. Default blue and red fills describe formation direction, not a promise of a later price reaction.
Display settings
The default keeps the latest T1 box. Increase Recent T1 boxes from 1–50 for historical review. Box width defaults to 5 bars beyond confirmation and accepts 0–50. Colours, transparency and label visibility are adjustable. If the drawings separate from the candles, check that the indicator and symbol use the same price scale.
T1 and T2 are different
T1 isolates direction changes in the gap sequence. T2 requires a qualifying parent tap followed by a later same-direction gap. This T1 script does not calculate T2, T3 or T4, and does not provide higher-timeframe alignment. Choose the tool that matches the question you are studying.
Alerts and limitations
Separate bullish and bearish T1 conditions are available; create alerts in TradingView with Once Per Bar Close. The tool does not track mitigation, invalidation, targets or trade results. Retained boxes are removed by the display-count limit rather than later touches. Available history and data revisions can change the starting sequence.
Before You Rely on a Chart Mark
Check when the information became available, which source timeframe it uses and whether the drawing records a historical pattern or an active state. Use the current TradingView publication as the reference for settings and release changes. None of these tools guarantees a market reaction or profitable result.
